PS3.6 reference panel
Inline dictionary lookup for the selected tag.
Toggleable side panel showing the DICOM standard definition for the currently selected tag: name, keyword, VR, VM, the modules it belongs to, and its de-identification action. The panel width and height are persisted.
Modules
An element can belong to a great many modules — Code Value (0008,0100) is in 227 of them — so the list shows the first six and offers Show all n modules, naming the true total. Selecting another tag collapses it again.
Each module shows the element’s usage type within it (Type 1, 1C, 2, 2C, 3), because the same element can be required in one module and optional in another. Hover a type badge for its meaning, or read attribute types.
Tip These definitions come from the active dictionary. If you upload a newer one under Settings → Standard docs, this panel is what changes.
