Clinical dose dashboard (CTDIvol, DLP)

Show the accumulated dose values stored in an RDSR and a per-event DLP bar chart.

Problem

Reviewing dose for a patient starts with the totals: accumulated DLP, CTDIvol, dose-area product. An RDSR stores these in an accumulated-dose container, separate from the per-event values. The event list (use case 8.9.1) does not show the totals at a glance or which event contributed most DLP.

Steps

1. Open an RDSR file (⌘O) and click the Dose tab in the right rail.
2. Read the Accumulated Dose cards. The top section shows one card for each value found in the report’s accumulated-dose container: DLP total, CTDIvol, DAP, and peak skin dose. A card is hidden when the report does not carry that value. The Events card shows the report’s number of irradiation events, or the count of events dcmage found when the report does not state it.
3. Read the DLP by event chart. Each bar is one event’s DLP, scaled to the largest event and labelled with the target region (or Ev N when none is coded). Events without a DLP value are left out.
4. Review the event list below the chart (see use case 8.9.1).

Result

The Dose tab shows the accumulated values exactly as the RDSR stores them and a per-event DLP chart. dcmage does not calculate effective dose, does not compare values against diagnostic reference levels or other thresholds, and does not sum doses itself. The totals come from the report.
