Edit measurements in Structured Reports
Correct measurement values inside a Structured Report.
Problem
You have a DICOM Structured Report (SR) containing clinical measurements — heart rate, ejection fraction, lesion dimensions — that were entered manually or extracted from a different system and need to be corrected. The SR stores hierarchical content in a tree structure (container → concept → measurement). You need to locate and edit specific measurement values within the SR tree.
Steps
-
Open the SR DICOM file (⌘O) — e.g.
sr-test.dcm. -
Open the SR tab in the right rail. The SR content tree is displayed.
-
Edit a measurement — double-click a measurement node (e.g. “Heart Rate”) and enter the corrected value (e.g.
72.5). -
Verify — the updated value is displayed in the SR tree and the tag is marked as modified.
Result
The edited measurement shows in the SR tree and its underlying tag turns gold in the metadata panel, while the SR container structure and relationships are preserved — only the value changes. The edit is counted and undoable.
